Content Management Systems (CMS)
A content management system is recommended when;
- the site is complex and large
- regular or frequent updating and new additions are required
- content is managed by multiple editors / contributors
- updating is to be performed from different locations
Web Maestro use and recommend Joomla as the CMS of choice for the following reasons;
- The software is open source with a free-to-use licence thus minimising set-up costs
- The results look professional
- There are many thousands of web sites already using the system
- The system administration is intuitive and easy to use.
- Many useful components are freely available e.g. VirtueMart shopping cart, DocMan document management, events calendar etc.
Our normal package for implementing a CMS based web site includes;
- Domain name registration (12 months) and web server rental (12 months) through Coppack Internet
- Installation of the CMS software and configuration
- e-mail accounts configuration
- Development of the site template (including web graphics and navigation elements) and style sheet and installation on the server
- 5 hours training for up to 5 people in site administration provided by Wensley House
- Full training documentation
- 4 hours of telephone support
- 12 months Search Engine submission
